Christy Kennedy, Licensed Acupuncturist

Christy Kennedy, M.S., L.Ac., Dipl. O.M. completed her Master of Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine from the Colorado School of Traditional Chinese Medicine. This four-year program consists of 2,850 hours of education including 990 hours of clinical practice. Christy’s training included acupuncture, herbal therapy, internal medicine, herbal heat therapy, Chinese manual therapy, cupping, electrical stimulation, eastern and western nutrition, auriculotherapy, and energetic exercise. Christy completed additional training in Esoteric Acupuncture, Auricular Medicine, Cosmetic Acupuncture, Five Element Acupuncture and a clinical internship at The Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in China. Christy has a background in massage therapy and is currently certified in CPR/First Aid. In addition, she has a Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Anthropology with a Minor in Health.

· Licensed as a Diplomat of Oriental Medicine through the State of Colorado

· Certified in Clean Needle Technique

· Member of the American Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (AAAOM)

· Member of the Acupuncture Association of Colorado (AAC).

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is the oldest professionally practiced medicine in the world. Christy believes that an integrated approach to health is necessary for optimal results. She is passionate about TCM and is excited to work with health care providers in Brighton to offer a holistic, drugless alternative to their patients.
